Biography

Biography: Dr. Pradeep Shah is a distinguished Scientist specializing in Agronomy at the National Agricultural Environment Research Center (NAERC) under the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC). He completed his B.Sc. in Agriculture from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal in 2000, his M.Sc. in Agronomy from IAAS in 2008, and his PhD from the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal in 2021. With over 14 years of experience, Dr. Shah has made significant contributions to crop production and conservation agriculture. His current research focuses on climate change and climate-smart agriculture technologies, aiming to develop sustainable agricultural practices that can withstand the challenges posed by a changing climate. Dr. Shah's expertise extends to his role as a Coordinator in agriculture-based non-governmental organizations, where he has applied his knowledge to practical, community-based projects.

Dr. Shah has actively participated in and presented papers at numerous workshops and seminars, both nationally and internationally. His prolific academic output includes more than 40 publications, reflecting his commitment to advancing agronomic science and sharing his findings with the broader scientific community. His research interests are centered on climate change and climate-smart agriculture, conservation agriculture, and crop production. Through his work, Dr. Shah aims to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability, ensuring food security and resilience for future generations.
